Teagan has been a lifeguard at the Chinook City Pool for the past 5 years and she is currently attending school at MSU Northern in Havre where she is studying to become an elementary teacher. Teagan was inspired to become a lifeguard from her love of working with children. Her favorite thing about being a guard is working and bonding with her co-workers and her most memorable moment was in her third year of guarding when a massive storm came and all the guards had to hide inn the guardroom.
Teagan says “The most important thing people should remember when they are at the pool is to follow the rules because they are in place to keep you safe.” She wishes that every parent would have their kids wear a brightly colored swimsuit because muted colors (and blues) are very hard for the lifeguards to see underwater. When she is not at the pool, she loves to paint, go for walks and drink coffee (her favorite is iced coffee) along with homemade cookies or banana bread.
