Linda has been a Lifeguard at Chinook City Pool for 20 years. She was inspired to become a guard because she enjoyed keeping fit by swimming and being outdoors. Linda's favorite part about being a guard is the ability to keep people safe and being prepared to respond to emergencies. Her most memorable moment when life guarding is teaching a person to overcome their fear of water.
Linda says "the most important thing you should remember when attending the pool is to follow the posted pool rules and lifeguard instructions. She wants every swimmer to stay within their swimming abilities and to not dive in shallow areas."
Linda graduated from MSU Northern with a BS in Health & Physical Education and a Masters in School Counseling. She works for the Chinook School District and enjoys bicycling and hiking. She has hiked Mt. Otis in the Bears Paws and The “M” in Missoula a few times and her favorite hikes are along the Central Coast of California. Linda's favorite place is vacationing at the family Beach House in Cambria, CA. When not at the pool, Linda enjoys traveling and a fun fact about her is that she swam 100 miles in 2025! Her favorite drink is a white Lotus with Dragonfruit.
Be sure to stop by and say hello to Linda!
